Pelvic Health

1 in 4 women are affected by pelvic floor disorders

The dysfunction can be many different things from pelvic pressure, urinary leakage to faeces incontinence to full prolapse and a lot in between

Imagine living with that, every day!

On average women wait 6.5yrs before obtaining a diagnosis. In part because they're not referred by GPs properly or quite often 'they just get on with it' or are too embarrassed to seek help

At times these issues can create huge financial strain, trying to manage symptoms, with so much rubbish being sold on the market and such a lack of education around the issues

And not to mention the psychosocial impact on the individual

Pelvic problems unchecked or undiagnosed usually just keep getting worse, women could live the entire second half of their lives with unresolved issues, that's heart breaking

This week I worked with a client on pelvic floor health and I could visibly see the weight lifting off her beautiful but worn out shoulders, as we just got it out in the open, explored symptoms and potential solutions with the right support and professionals. The hope rising on her face, is why I absolutely love doing this work

We never have guaranteed outcomes, every person's circumstances are unique, but it is critically important to shine a light on what’s going on, get support and look for ways to live our lives in the most comfort and health that we deserve

Menopause is a rite of passage not something to simply put up with, accepting symptoms we may be experiencing
