Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals

We are exposed to EDCs every single day, and these have a direct impact on our hormones.

They include BPAs from plastics and cans, DDT from pesticides, vinclozolin from fungicides, and DES from pharmaceutical agents.

Hormone Disrupting Compounds are found in most standard everyday products such as skin care and body care products, toothpastes, hair care, make up, perfume and sanitary products, as well as processed foods and household products. In particular, Xenoestrogens are a xenohormone that imitates estrogen and creates havoc within the body.

They work by tricking the body into thinking they are hormones.  They do this by blocking the body’s natural hormones work.  These hormone blocks have been linked to adverse health outcomes, altering the nervous system and attributing to fertility issues, early puberty, immune disfunction & even some cancers.

Liver support is key to fight against EDCs

Our livers are being bombarded directly and indirectly by EDCs and these highly pro-inflammatory toxins have a direct impact on the gut microbiome and we must actively minimize our exposure, helping our body to fight these chemicals.

We can do this by supporting our liver health, eating more chemical free foods, replacing some of products we are being exposed to for more natural solutions.

A review of our habits and identifying where we can improve on the quality of the consumption and exposure we have, will go a long way towards supporting our liver and reduce the toxic load.
