Lymphatic Function

Do you know the importance of your lymphatic system?

Our bodies are bombarded with over 2 million toxins every single year, our lymphatic system is one of our bodies primary forms of defense.  It literally acts as our drainage system, eliminating waste from our bodies for us!

And that is critical to our immune system, protecting us from illness & chronic disease.

So how does it do this?

The Lymphatic System collects excess fluids and excess lymph throughout the body and filters and removes impurities (cancer cells, dead blood cells & pathogens) through the lymph nodes also known as glands, cleaning out the body.

And while doing this job, the Lymphatic System also releases white blood cells and other immune cells that monitor and overpower these nasty pathogens, which in turn aids waste removal and excess and abnormal cells in the body.

How can you support and improve your lymphatic system?

Movement is key

Lymph can only move with contraction – and the best way to contract is movement!

In Peri-to-Post Menopause transition we lose up to 20% of our natural contracting strength and up to 70% in the frequency of our movement, and so at this phase of life, we must dial up on our movement habits.

If Lymph cannot remove toxins, nothing is going to work properly in our systems and the effects of sustained toxins in the system, may create long term chronic illness.

It is our waste disposal, and it must work optimally.

And because it relies on movement, it relies on you!!

You can help this system with consistent Movement and Hydration, Lymphatic Massage, Dry Skin Brushing & Breathing Exercises
