Hormone Health
What is behind the vast peri-to-post menopause symptoms? largely our hormones, not just shifting but sometimes coming undone!
It is normal for our hormones to be changing constantly, but when we sway to imbalances the outcome can wreak havoc.
Our hormones are significantly influenced by what we put into our bodies, we need to ensure we consume regular healthy balanced nourishment and hydration and we also need to keep inflammatory and toxic triggers at bay. In p-to-p menopause we are much more sensitive to triggers and way more likely to tip over if we don't keep regulated, we do not have the tolerances we once had, we are much more finely tuned now!!
We also experience enviro toxic onslaught that is influencing our hormones, from cosmetics, household items to plastics.
And what about our stress levels, from our coping habits, to past traumas, family life, work pressures and so on
So how do we navigate all this & calm our raging hormones....
The great news is so much is within our control, that's not to say it's all easy, so what is within our reach?
Start with a review of what we take into our bodies, reducing intake of significant inflammatory contributors and detox inhibitors. Add in natural supporters that promote reduction in pain and support the liver and gut and enable the creation of healthy hormones required to help our bodies absorb many required vitamins and minerals, there is so much we can do..
Do an inventory of the products we use in our homes, what can be replaced with natural non-toxic products especially sprays, cosmetics and sanitary products.
And how do we mind ourselves, what is our self-care routine, how can we destress and rest more, how can we rebalance our nervous system, as we change what needs to change around us.
This is just for starters, there are so many things we can do to positively influence our hormones and self regulation and empowerment is key to our menopause journeys
How do you mind our hormones?
